	Concept to Contract

	DISCOVERY: Initial in-home or showroom consultation.
	This step is perhaps the most important time that you will spend with your designer. We believe the design planning process is for you to become acquainted and comfortable with J & J Custom Kitchens and Baths, Inc. We consider it a privilege to discuss with you the pros and cons of each product application or possible design concept. To better help us, we ask that you prepare questions, concerns, and needs that will help us understand your project to the fullest. Your designer will use these “seeds” from the consultation to discover your lifestyle, routine, taste, and preferences. At the conclusion of this meeting, your designer should be able to provide design direction, as well as, be able to establish your project’s budget parameters.

	PRESENTATION: How do you see us moving forward?
	This step is the all-important development stage. Your J & J designer will now commit their time, staff, and resources to work for you with agreed upon direction. Your designer will invite you back to our beautiful showroom to present design documentation, including: a scaled detailed floor plan, elevation drawings, perspective drawings, and a detailed project specification agreement. This very detailed information investment can be helpful in selecting a true partner in the project. Based on the complexity of your project, a fee of 3% will be charged for this stage based on your established budget parameters. (ex. $15,000 estimated bath remodel x 3% = $450 fee) This fee will be fully applied toward your contract. If for some reason you choose not to proceed further, this fee will compensate J & J for our time and materials thus far.

	CONTRACT: Ready to commit!
	We would like to thank you for allowing us to serve you. Upon your approval of the plans, drawings, and specifications your designer will have you complete contractual documents with J & J. The contract will include specifically agreed upon products and installation labor for the implementation of your project. The contract will include the payment schedule and, if applicable, your presentation fee, which will be credited toward the overall contract amount.
